In the event of an emergency, you want the reassurance that trained medical professionals are close by and ready to take action. At Oak Hill Hospital, you can trust us with your health when the unthinkable occurs. We strive to provide a timely and accurate diagnosis and treatment for each patient. Along with general emergency care, we also have a primary stroke center, chest pain center, and pediatric emergency care center.

Emergency Room Times
No one enjoys waiting around, and time seems to stretch when you are in physical pain. With this in mind, we try to keep our average ER wait times as short as possible. We keep our most recent four-hour average posted on our website at all times. Patients with an immediate need for medical attention are seen right away.

Primary Stroke Center
We are an accredited primary stroke center. You can trust that our specially trained staff will recognize stroke symptoms and administer the proper medicines and treatments before the earliest and safest time window closes. Our accreditation was received from the Joint Commission.

Chest Pain Center
If you experiencing chest pains, you will get immediate help. The Society of Chest Pain Centers recognizes Oak Hill as an Accredited Chest Pain Center with Percutaneous Coronary Intervention. We have specialists standing by to immediately diagnose and treat any discomfort you feel in your chest.

Pediatric Emergency Care Center
The ER can be a scary environment for children. That is why at Oak Hill we have an emergency care center that specializes in pediatrics. Our staff is trained to interact with and treat your children in a way that soothes their fears and comforts them during any needed procedures. Parents can also relax thanks to our Broselow System for Acute Pediatric Administration of Drugs, which ensures the proper dosage of medicine for your child’s age, height, and weight, even in a fast-paced emergency situation.

Experiencing a medical condition that doesn’t require an immediate visit to the emergency room? We are still here for you around the clock. Call our free Consult-a-Nurse® service at 1-888-741-5120 to ask any questions or request a physician referral.
